Nursing Case Insight Journal is strongly committed to upholding academic integrity and the originality of submitted manuscripts. To prevent plagiarism and research misconduct, all manuscripts undergo a strict plagiarism screening process.

Plagiarism Screening

  • The journal uses plagiarism detection software(e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent) to check all submissions before they enter the peer review process.
  • Manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 20%(excluding references and quotes) will be returned to authors for revision or rejected outright.
  • Editors may re-check manuscripts at any stage of the review, revision, or publication process if plagiarism is suspected.

Types of Plagiarism Considered Unacceptable

  • Direct Plagiarism— Copying text, data, or ideas from other sources without proper citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism— Republishing one’s own previously published work without disclosure or proper citation.
  • Mosaic Plagiarism— Borrowing phrases or text from a source without quotation marks or paraphrasing too closely.
  • Data Fabrication / Falsification— Manipulating or inventing data, results, or references.

Author Responsibility

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism.
  • Authors must acknowledge all sources of information, including figures, tables, and data sets.

Editorial Action

  • Manuscripts with detected plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
  • If plagiarism is found after publication, the article may be retractedand the author’s institution notified.
  • The journal follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)guidelines in handling plagiarism and publication misconduct.
